Aissista Writing Assistant is an AI-powered writing improvement tool that helps users enhance grammar, tone, clarity, and style across applications on their Android device.

To provide this core functionality, Aissista uses the Android Accessibility Service in a limited, user-initiated, and privacy-protective manner.

Why Accessibility Permission Is Required

Aissista uses Android Accessibility Services exclusively to enable real-time writing assistance when you intentionally interact with the app.

The permission allows Aissista to:

Detect text selection you make in any supported application
Read only the text you explicitly select for improvement
Display a floating bubble overlay that provides quick access to AI writing suggestions
Accessibility access is not used for advertising, analytics profiling, or background monitoring.

What Data Aissista Accesses

When accessibility permission is enabled and you select text:

What: Only the text content you manually highlight
Why: To generate AI-powered writing suggestions
How: Securely transmitted to AI processing services via encrypted internet connection

Technical Context (Minimal)

App state required to display the floating suggestion interface
Temporary in-memory processing needed to generate results

No persistent accessibility logs are stored.

What Aissista Does NOT Do

Aissista is intentionally designed to avoid collecting sensitive or unrelated information.

We never:

Access or read password fields, security codes, or authentication data
Monitor your screen without explicit text selection
Collect personal messages you did not choose to process
Store selected text on our servers or your device
Track browsing history or background activity
Access banking, payment, or other sensitive apps (these can also be blocked in settings)
Sell or share accessibility-derived data for advertising or profiling
Perform human review of selected text except where required for security or legal compliance

Accessibility data is used only to provide writing assistance requested by you.

Permissions Related to Accessibility Functionality

Required Permissions

Accessibility Service — Detects and reads only user-selected text; enables core writing assistant functionality
Display Over Other Apps (Overlay) — Shows the floating bubble and suggestion interface
Internet Access — Sends selected text securely for AI processing; receives writing suggestions
Foreground Service — Keeps the writing assistant available while in use

Optional Permission

Battery Optimization Exemption — Improves responsiveness and reduces delays; not required for functionality

User Control and Choice

You remain fully in control of accessibility access. You can:

Disable accessibility permission at any time in Android Settings
Block specific apps from being used with Aissista
Stop using the floating overlay or background service
Uninstall the app to remove all access

Disabling accessibility permission will stop cross-app writing assistance features.

Data Security

All selected text sent for AI processing is:

Encrypted in transit using secure HTTPS
Processed automatically to generate suggestions
Not stored after processing

Aissista applies industry-standard safeguards to protect transmitted information.
